The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) pointed out a significant increase of 7.3% in an announcement.
The General Price Index of Construction Materials for New Residential Buildings increased in January 2022 by 7.3% compared to last year, compared to an increase of 0.3% recorded when comparing the respective indices of 2021 with 2020.
The average index of the twelve months February 2021 – January 2022, compared to the corresponding index of the twelve months February 2020 – January 2021, showed an increase of 4.3%, compared to a decrease of 0.3% compared to the previous twelve months.
Specifically, in five sub-indices of prices of materials categories, a double-digit increase was recorded last December, compared to the corresponding month of 2020. Αccording to ELSTAT data, the main changes in the sub-price indices of materials categories in December were the following: Electricity 44.9%, Diesel 27.7%, Reinforcing iron 19.3%, Copper pipelines 16.9%, Copper pipes 14.6%, Radiators 8,6%.
At the same time, regarding the elevator sector, the following changes are observed in the annual changes regarding the Price Index of Construction Materials for New Residential Buildings in January of the last 3 years:
Which means that there is an increase of 24.65% in terms of Lifts.
